Hope Candle

The ተስፋ :: Hope candle is a complex fragrance that is blends earthiness with a musky Baltic amber heartnote. Though amber is an organic, fossilized tree resin, as an oil it is typically a blend of vanilla, benzoin (gum resin from Indonesia), and labdanum (sticky brown resin).

ተስፋ is developed with an aromatic Mediterranean sage topnote all layered on a rich Himalayan jasmine floral basenote results in a unique one-of-a-kind scent. This is a creative and fresh scent: warm, herbaceous and floral all at once.

Inspired by “new growth” such as ocean plants and lotus flower that grows in lakes and swamps as well as the minerals plants that grow on reefs and between rocks formations, the highly varied scents in ተስፋ are intentionally mixed to invite a sense of possibility, desire and anticipation.

Though climate change threatens to fundamentally alter the ecosystem of ocean plants and species, among other ecosystems, we see their attempt to persist and adapt intelligently. We are inspired by this adaptation and remain hopeful that we as human beings will fundamentally adapt our behaviours to mitigate the threats to our ecosystems to ensure that we, and the environments and species upon which we rely upon for survival, are supported for resilience
